Thoughts & Prayers Requested

I usually don't ask for this kind of stuff, but I figure at this point it can't hurt.

My brother had a liver and kidney transplant 20 years ago (he is now 26). He has recently been having some complications - we thought it may be just a fluke, his liver function labs went up and he was starting to look a little jaundice. Weeks of lab results, biopsies and ultrasounds showed nothing definitive so he was admitted to have a procedure done to insert a drainage tube (to drain the bile and alleviate the jaundice). This was done on Monday. His levels are still on the rise, he is looking more jaundice, and now he has an infection that they can't seem to find the source of.

He is currently admitted at U of M hospital in Ann Arbor, but things don't seem to be getting any better, if anything they are getting worse...

I am not one to get worked up, or worry unneccessarily, but this just doesn't feel right.

Any positive thoughts or prayers would be much appreciated by both myself and my family.

Sorry to hear that and best of luck. At least know he's in extremely good hands with some of the finest medical professionals in the world.

Thank you everyone.

I'll be going out to visit tomorrow - if his lab levels don't come down over night, they will be repeating the procedure ... and if they still can't find anything... well... we couldn't get a straight answer...

My prayers and thought's are with oyu on this Les.....If you or Mark need anything you know I'm right around the corner...

Thanks everyone. We're going back to the hospital tonight. Typical levels are .3 and 1.0, his levels are over 18 so (18 divided by .3) that is up to 60 times normal levels.
