Many thanks to everyone. Unfortunately things are not getting any better. His blood counts were so low last night they wanted to give him a transfusion, but couldn't because he had spiked a fever.

They did another biopsy yesterday afternoon and we have not gotten the results from that yet. Today they repeated Monday's procedure and didn't find anything different.

We are all worried and frustrated that we aren't getting any answers from anyone.

As each day goes by, and things don't improve, I become more and more convinced that this is going in the direction of another transplant.

I will be going back out again tomorrow.

Well, we got the news this morning: chronic rejection.

they are treating him with IV steroids for now, but not sure what the plan of action is going forward as the actual head physician won't be in until tomorrow.

He will likely be coming home this week, but with close monitoring. Typically chronic rejection is irreversible and results in re-transplantation....
