This thing is FAST

Thanks for the compliments on the GT.

You say the GT is noticably faster up high.... Whats the HP rating of the Lambo? If they are similiar is the speed difference due to the 4wd system, aero? why is so much slower?

The Lambo made like 800 at the wheels, so it's a little less. The GT probably has better aerodynamics and it's definitely geared to go fast at high speed. It's got a pretty small frontal area. Alot of cars hit a wall at around 160-170 but the GT pulls pretty hard from 140-180 in 4th and well into 5th above that. The Lambo is geared to be very quick and it tops out at just about 200, so you're winding out 6th near 200. The GT will go 235+ in 5th gear.

I love the lambo............................but.............. a GT with twins powns just about any other exotic car in the universe:thumbsup:

I would love to see the outcome of your car and a Bugatti Veyron on a 5 kilometers stretch of the autobahn

Sweet rides! A low 10-second Lambo on the street would be pretty great because all those slightly modified Mustang/Camaro guys would be licking their chops to put a hurting on a Lambo only to find out they've been played. lol

0 to 60 in 2.8 on street tires is pretty intense. I datalog my track passes and with a 1.43 60 ft, I went 0 to 60 in just under 1.6 seconds.

Does that box thing you use output 60 ft times? It should be able to do it if it has an accelerometer on board.

Your Ford GT makes my pants tight. My neighbor has one (white/blue stripes as well) but doesnt drive it to much in the summer....I miss seeing it go down the street :(

Beautiful cars!

I visited Heffners shop while i was in Sarasota, his shop was actually closed but him and his wife and their young son were there and let me in my wife come in to take a look around. Steppiing into his garage brought a tear to my eye. It was awsome! Real cool guy and down to earth!

Here's a few pics I took while visiting Heffner Performance !!!!!!

So 6th gear is basically useless for a flat out top speed run? Simply amazing what a bunch of Michigan autoworkers can produce, from a farm truck to exotic.

That FGT is literally my dream car, with tt's.

I think it's more for an "overdrive". Probably for gas mileage.

That white car with the white/yellow wheels in your pic is the one that was up here. They were 21" Asantis or something. Definitely not my first choice.

If you have the power I'm sure it will go somewhere. I think you'd probably go somewhere slowly with the power my car has, but some of the cars that have 1300-1400-1500rwhp could probably keep going. We'll find out pretty shortly.

The GT is wildly overbuilt. I've seen alot of cars stripped down to the bones, and the components in the GT look more like stuff out of the Enzo/CGT class than the F430/Gallardo class. It doesn't have a lot of frills and it's not a luxury car, but the chassis and engineering work on it are phenomenal. I have a friend with a GT that gets it serviced by the Ferrari factory and they all made the same comment. It's a terrible bummer Ford doesn't build another legit supercar.

my friend designed the Seat for the FGT, he still has the blurprints and CAD drawings at home.

Heck I have some UAW 4 pack of glasses featuring the FGT. I have to get those to DBK one of these days. They were only given to those who worked at Wixom, I think on the car.
