This cold is BRUTAL on the Diesel!

I didn't work yesterday so my Duramax was sitting since Sunday morning. I forgot to plug it in Sunday so I started it yesterday evening let it run long enough to warm up and plugged it in. I parked it close to the garage with the front pointing east so the wind stayed away from the front. I plugged it in again tonight after work. I usually don't bother plugging it in until it gets below zero.

Did you roll coal with your towing mirrors flipped out?

I missed the part where he owns a Dodge truck! Drives me nuts seeing Dodge guys with those silly tow mirrors flipped out when they aren't towing anything.

Most cords won't turn on Til around 0 anyway

You can tell by looking at the cord if it has it. The ones without used to set temp codes from the iat and ect being so far off at start up

Ya... little kids and their tow mirrors making the legendary Cummins look bad.

"Cummins, making Ford and Chevy diesels look bad since 1989."

I see plenty of gassers with them flipped out too, takes more than some mirrors to make a Cummins look bad. I love the Cummins engines, I just never cared for the wrapper. If I could even begin to afford a new diesel the new Dodge would be at the top of my list.

I agree with you, Rick. The Cummins engine itself is great, but the truck around it never did a thing for me. I will never buy another Dodge/Chrysler product again. I'm sure some people have had good experiences with them, but every one that I have owned or worked on has been a colossal piece of shit.
