The Z06 is sold!! What to get next??

wait for 09 camaro..
$30k car vs $100k he is looking at.
That is like saying fuck the '07 Corvette, wait for the '09 Cobalt SS.

Both the Gallardo and SS are sweet. But like mentioned above the lambo has expensive problems, looks and sounds amazing, and is rare. The SS will be a riot to drive, but being in MI, there are going to be a shit load of them around.

After being exposed to alot of "fun" cars, I would also suggest.
M5, with an ecu remap are capable of 200mph. sounds amazing.
GT2/GT3, depending on if you like turbos or not, and want to out run 911 turbo's all day. sounds amazing.
430, will be able to handle more of a beating than the g, and sounds amazing.
550/575m, pimp shit. that is all.
Noble, faster than a Z06. Uber rare, decent price, fucking blast to tear up a track with.
Audi R8, a Gallardo that can be driven more often.
SL65, >700ft/lbs of torque, twin tubo V12, heated and cooled seats...
E63, CLS63, big V8 and alot of power with all the ammenities.

Add turbo or blower and have endless fun around town as people go :jawdrop: when a minivan stomps their Cobra or whatever real bad..

#3 at my dealer for sticker..;)

Be careful if it's at Les Stanford. I had my money down for a C6 Z06 for a year. When it became clear the car could be sold over sticker, people found out they were selling the car to other people not on the list over sticker even though there were something like 400 of us on Corvetteforum with money-down orders. You can imagine how that went over when everyone found out. Led me to cancel the order.

I was pretty excited about it, given that I bought two prior Vettes from them. I know they don't care because they do insane volume with or without locals, but still...

-M5 is not a sprts car
- don't like the look of 911's
-430 is out of my price range
-550/575 is way too boring
-Noble is just a track car strictly
-Audi R8 is ok, but not worth the money imo. Atleast the Gallardo has the looks
-SL65 is not a sports car. I need something that can handle
-E63, same reason

Damn, I am a picky mother fucker, but now you can see why I narrowed my choices between the Gallardo and SS..;)

Thanks for your opinion

obviously, if you can afford either of these cars as (I'm assuming) a "toy" and not a DD, you've done something right in life.

The Lambo is impressive, but everyone and thier brother will want to race from every light you stop at. The ricers will be sworming all over you. Personally, I wouldn't want that much attention.

The Vette is badass, and the majority of people won't know what it is. Those in the know will give thumbs up (unless they are jealous).

If I had to choose, it would be the Vette. I'm not one to impress strangers with flashy cars, hell my last fast toy was a farm truck.

While the Lambo has an intoxicating exhaust, flip up doors and exclusivity, the maintenance bills would render that moot quickly. I'd rather a car that if something goes wrong, I can have it back on the road within a few days, instead of weeks.

Think of it like this. If some dipshit rear ends you in the lambo, how long before it's back on the road? I'm guessing 4 times longer than if it were a vette.

Plus I'm willing to bet the vette could take the lambo. Not everyone who buys a lambo knows how to drive them.

The Lambo is a sweet ride hands down. Lots of attention, fun to drive and very rare here in Detroit. The Vette is a killer bang for the buck. Brutal speed and fun to drive....but why dont you look at some other cars while your at it?

A M5 or M6 BMW is a AWESOME car. Great handling, really fast, looks great, lots of comfort and under 100K for either one of them. Oh..and with a M5 you can beat the piss out of 90% of the shit on the roads while hauling the kids to church. (4 door sedans that blow the hell out of 2 door sports cars are hella sweet)

If I was going to buy a car though...it would probably be a Ford GT with the twin turbo swap. You like to race? You want to get a lot of looks and have a car that is pretty rare to see on the road? Ford GT....take the blower off and slap a TT setup on it. I know most of you know what I'm talking about. There is a video somewhere of a shop that did it and its fucking amazing. Nothing else was changed on the car at all. Stock fuel system, stock intercooler, stock everything. A/C blowin' and 1000 hp. You cant beat it. Ultra fast, can handle its ASS off, get lots of attention, and will probably run you the same price as a Lambo. It would be less expensive to fix if you broke it too.

Vetts are sweet. Dont get me wrong, but a super fast Vette is still just a Corvette. I say if your gonna spend the cash, why not get something thats exotic and can still whomp on everyone out there.

Any way you look at it, your gonna get a sweet ride. No doubt. Your taste in autos is great from what I've read.

Let's build you an Ultima FADI!!! Fast on the street, strip, and owns a roadcourse. They are lots of fun! And we can use any kind of engine you want (N/A, Supercharged, or Turbo(s)). All well within the cost of the cars you list.
