Irs About time you got some pics up ! This Is a Clean super solid car. I would find some Craiger S/S's or some Polished Aluminum 5 slots for It. Shiney wheels always look good on a mustang...........Nice find !
Installed a new speedo cable and also fixed some half assed radio wiring. Will toss in a new heater core too while it's apart. Wish it would warm up a bit so I can paint the dash and reassemble it. The wifes got the itch to drive it.
Been plugging away at the dash redo. I detailed the gauges and also replaced a couple burned out indicator bulbs. I also installed the new lenses for the gauges as well as the new outer dash piece (bezel). It looks great. I also put in a new heater core and hoses while it was apart too. Also installed new gaskets and seals for inside the heater box. Been trying like crazy to install the replacement dash speaker but it doesn't fit. I measured the spacing for the mounting holes and they are off by about 1/2". NPD swears it'll fit but when I told him what the spacing is on the dash mount compared to the spacing on the speaker he is completely baffled. His supplier claims it's a direct bolt in. Guess not. This single issue is holding up the whole project. When I originally took it all apart one of the previous owners had some home-brewed speaker setup in the dash- I can see why now. Once I get over this hurdle it'll only take about an hour to finish the rest of the job.
one of the fellow mechanics at the dealership i work at used to have an inline 6 mustang and he just showed me this site classicinline.com, deff worth a look

Finished up the dash redo. Came out pretty nice. The wife is very happy with it. The pics aren't the best but I think you can still see that it came out nice. Just to recap I replaced the dash pad and all the trim pieces. Also painted the dashboard as well as it was showing some wear in a few places. Just a basic good old fashioned low dollar detail job. Thanks again to "Derbydad" for the deal on the radio. Great price and just a couple blocks from my house to boot. Still have a few more small items before I call it quits on the interior for this year.
