the wingmaster?, thats the gun I shot my first buck with this weekend. we were comparing it to another 870 and you could feel the difference.
Thanks
Justin, that Nova is a good gun, had one for years. Very quick cycling gun.
Classic Shotgun time;
Remington 870 Wingmaster circa 1975 when they still made them right. IMO.
These had the high polished blue and glossy finished wood.
Much nicer than the 870 Express I own too. slicker cycling, lighter weight (due to lack of vent rib I guess).
This gun weighs 7lbs 1oz with a 30" fixed Full choke barrel, about a half pound less than
my 870 Express with a 28" vent rib bbl with remchokes.

I have a Remington 870 Magnum Express, I LOVE IT!!! It doesnt have a shiny blues barrel but i'd rather it not be anyway, I use it to hunt not take it to gun shows to display.
I have an 870 Express too, only I had it modified for card shooting. I hate the finish on it, very cheap and rough. It was a used gun when I got it, had to strip and refinish it. Bad thing is I was with the guy who bought it when it was new. Only had a few boxes of ammo though it but was never taken care of till now.
