The Milan thread

So the opinions of 76 people are useless in your eyes ? WOW.

I thought you had to speak for the club, and not the sponsors ?

I'm speaking from my own personal experiences, and the clubs experience at Milan. If the club had shitty rentals at Milan, do you think we would keep going back? There are other race tracks in Michigan.

Are you coming out to spot for us this year?

Given that the most MM cars we've ever had at a track rental is 55 cars and the most cares we've ever had at a rental is 85 cars and we're now looking at over 150 votes it's kind of comical. I'm sure the 100-150 spectators that the club pays for at each event have voted too though. :D

So your solution is too just say" oh well, there is nothing we can do about it, why bother? "

Can you say how much they pay to be a sponsor?

I think that is what this is about.
How are we cutting our nose off. The ONLY loss would be there sponsorship money.

This club does not break even and never has on an annual basis. So ever little bit of support we get from our sponsors and our club members makes a big difference and allows us to do what we do.

If it weren't for the extreme generousity of the sponsors and some key club members we wouldn't be doing much of anything but bickering on the internet on a slow free hosted site. It really is that simple.

Rick

Spot us ? Whats that mean ?

Safety first dude. Since you're not racing, are you going to come out and help us out? Make sure the track is safe past the 1/8th mile for us? Why don't you be part of the solution if the track is as bad as you claim it is.

Brian, you said it yourself you have had no problems at our rentals.

I would be at ALL track rentals if they werent on week days...

I can at other tracks, but after attending the 1320x race, that is all for me when it comes to milan. I will work/spot at any other track rental if you want. I can run the waterbox, the staging lanes, ect. Ive worked mid michigan, norwalk in these areas at differant times.

Also, this is more about letting Milan be a sponsor when many of us think that they shouldn't.
We should hold our sponsors to a higher level.
Remeber Jelly? Did you have to be screwed by him directly to know he was a piece of ****. Did you have to of spent money with him to be able to tell people to stay away from him?
No, you didn't.
I really am starting to think this is about the money and less about what is right and wrong.

:jagoff:

Again, we have had ZERO issues at our track rentals. NONE. Brain agreed that he's never been treated poorly at one. Been shown nothing but respect. Maybe you would know that if you actually came to an event.

You're bitching about something you don't even participate in.

I'm done with this inane convo.

You are missing the point. We accept money from a place that treat customers like shit, assaults customers, swears at customers, and staf that touch and damage racecars .

Should we have accepted money from APE when Jelly pulled his stuff ?

I think it is BS... Just like cops. they take care of one another. they are never in the wrong and can use what ever means to be right. I think I will stick with Ubly or dare me to say Lapeer.

What did we think was going to happen? We've got people whimpering for an official response from Milan and when we get it we don't like it so we keep banging the drums?

Playing Internet Bullies will never accomplish anything. It's been documented over and over again on the net and without naming sites I know you've had the experience with it.

If you want to make a change you have to communicate directly with the people that can make the changes. Write letters, mail them in with real suggestions on how to fix what you think the problems are. Show what they are and what you can improve by fixing them. Simple stuff. If it's a form letter they all agree to use and sign, fine. But acting like a bunch of school girls on the net from a remake of; "Rebel Without a Clue" will not help anyone.

It's good to be active and it's good to get involved but pissing and moaning on the net is not going to change it.

We still let you come around.

Norwalk has been our only week day rental up until last year when we had an extra one during the week.

This year is different because of the new cost structure and the demand for those that can pay the additional costs. They only had two days open and we didn't think the members could afford the costs for the jump this year.

So we eliminated the class payouts in favor of trying to keep the prices as low as possible for the racers because of how tough the economy is and everything else that is going on. It was the best we could do in the hopes of getting out as many people as possible.

Rick

This is about more than just how they treat MM people at a track rental.
Did you see all of the quotes I post about how MM people were treated OUTSIDE of a track rental?

By your thinking ( albiet on a much larger scale ) it is ok to let a terrorist sponsor MM and have MM support them as long as they don't blow up MM members at there own paid for event!

What they do there is unprofessional and wrong.

 Wow you're reaching now dude.

I don't even see any money of even know what changes hands. I don't keep up with the finances of the club. Not my department.

Rick.... i asked if as racers first, we could ban together with other web sites to boycott milan. After that i was actully thinking of passing out flyers at car shows. As far as internet bitching, this internet thing is the fastest way to organize a real life event. Like say meeting up for a cruise. Or planning a race. Or renting a woodward lot. Or planning a bw3 event.

You guys know this. You know how far i take real events after spring boarding off the internet. Do you really classify me as a do nothing internet talker, or a person that uses it as a tool to plan real life ?

We still let you come around.

That block was from jelly, but had nothing to do with jelly. And that guy recived a full refund within a day of him getting that block.
The main cap guy was a diff guy.

Let me ? LOL. I was in this club before you were able to drive.
