The Milan thread

All of the track rentals Ive been to in the past two years have been awesome. I havent seen Tyler, Brian, Josh or any other of the complainers there. I agree with Rick, you guys should spot for the people racing if its such an issue.

im just shocked someone has not come unglued and laid one of the staff the fuck out,if they ever treated me that way ,were gonna get down ,milan not dumb thet know who they employ.
I dont get the part about his safty equipment , did they not tech him??

His car was legal.

Cowboy is a legend. I can neighter confirm nor deny the amounts of BS he's been linked to over the years since I've never even seen the guy. So I won't attempt to talk about him. :)

No offense to my slightly slower brothers in boost but you certainly don't need the hood open in the staging lanes for a 12 second turbo car. You cool down in the pits and you come to the lanes ready to race. Simple driver's etiquitte and I'd hold that in the same light with the same expectations that you have for professionalism when a person does their job. It's one thing to be a noob and opps but it sounds like you guys knew better here.

If you're getting into an argument with another racer and a staff member over what was clearly your driver's mistake (freak or not it's his car in the lane where it should be ready to rock) you don't have a lot of room to be calling the woman working the wall out. This one was not a good example for your arguement.

Rick

Great posts very interesting arguing but some of you are gripping the club a little to tight if you no what I mean.Look everyone reacts to a situation like that differently Idont care how long you work or own a track that is some heavy shit when that gos down people freak out some stay calm some get angry that is just the way life is.At the end of the day no one died and we get to race another day.

i just dont race at milan anymroe, i ran one time last year i might run 1 time this year. but thats about it, the people there are crap i will go and watch a few bigger races and the heads up races but i think ive all but given up on milan.....hell i've had a more pleasant experience at lapeer every time ive gone then racing at milan, and trunk i will say this
"do you think people will drive to norwalk? hardly!"
i've driven to norwalk over milan atleast 5 times this year already....

Well it looks like i'm gonna have to do all my racing on the streets...

Maybe I'll go start prepping my street up!! it's already starting to look like a little dragstrip:icon_wink

I'm still waiting for a reply.

Why are you guys telling us we should stop racing there, when you don't even come to the track rentals? I haven't seen any of you racing at a single one in the past two years at least. How would you know how our events are, if you don't even come out to them?

Well, I suppose I could start the replies.....

I have been to your rentals both as a spectator and a racer. Very good times. No complaints with respect to the rentals. HOWEVER, these rentals are a fraction of the racing and the time that I have spent there. So, with that being said, I will continue to kick Milan in the nutts until they get their act together. Unfortunately I will be there in just a few hours, but not on my dime. I was asked to crew for a buddy, and that is what I will do. But I will avoid racing there as much as possible, and seeing how my shit's broke right now, that won't be too hard. But, in a couple weeks when its back together, I will be making the drive to Mid Michigan, US 131, and or Norwalk for any testing. Someone implied they had doubts about people living within 50 miles of Milan making the travels to the other Michigan tracks, well, don't hold your breath. The people that operate that track are pathetic, and Karma is a bitch, so I somewhat feel sorry for them........ok, it passed, sorry had a weak moment there for a second.

I was at an 06 event with my car. In the last two years ive prolly only gone to 8 events at milan. 2 mm track rentals, a bunch of friday events and other events like the ihra race.

See, you guys aren't reading what I'm typing. I'm only complaining about there lack of professionalism. I have no problem with MM having track days there.

Really? You said we should boycott? Am I missing something here? Why the fuck should those of us who actually go to track rentals stop going because you have a bug up your ass?

Because of the way that they treat people?
Does anyone at your dealership thow eggs and chicken feet at customers?
Does anyone at your dealership hit customers or swear at them?

THAT IS WHY there should be a boycott.

They need to learn about customer service!

Go ahead, USE them for that because MM doesn't really have much of a choice BUT when they do something stupid don't defend them. Let them get off of there OWN asses and make some posts about what happened. If there too arrogant to even explain there side then there is a problem.

Again, have you been to one of our track rentals to see how the staff treats us? They have been nothing but professional.

I've been to a lot of events there in the past 5 years. (While you say it's been 5 years since you have even been there.) All of our tracks rentals, the Roush days at Milan, and the Mopar nat's I have been too in the past 5 years I've seen nothing but good things. I've only seen people being treated fairly and with respect. I'm going off my 1st hand experiences. Not something someone whined about on the internet.

What am I going to race? The fastest thing I've had in the last 3 years still hasn't made it into the 12s

And I agree...first hand experience should be all that matters...I'll admit when I was wrong.

And at any of the Motown track rentals have you ever been mistreated, disrespected, or punched in the face?
