The Milan thread

So you would just stand on the other side of the wall? I agree they are trying to follow proceedures but they sure as hell handled it the wrong way. Instead of shoving someone and telling them to fuck off they could have done it differently....

I'm sure the "fuck off" wasn't the first thing said to the wife, and I suspect we can all agree there.

How do we do crowd control if we are a small to medium sized woman and someone is intent on disrepecting the order to halt? If I'm not a police officer with a badge and gun, how do I stop them other than to shoot a verbal barage at them? They are going to break my hold or we are both going down hard on the track if I grab them right?

I realize we are Monday morning quarterbacks here and we all hate the resultes of the game and the refs are always the bad guys, but this isn't as simple as it seems.

Rick

Yes but was your mom and your sisters called bitches by the residing cardiac nurse?

Not bitches, but they sure did score a "Get the fuck out of my way" from the Cardiologist who just happen to be coming in to make the rounds and the girls were failing to move for the attending and a intern they didn't like. :)

Dropping the occasional f-bomb is a whole different ball game than verbaly insulting someone though. That's just my opinion.

If they're being misrepresented then maybe they should've stated their side of the story

Sometimes it's just easier to let people throw the stones than it is to argue it out on the internet. It's sort of like sleding up hill when the kids smell a drama thread. :D

I've never heard anyone in a hospital cuss a family member out because they got in the way.. let alone push them.

I've witnessed someone that cared about me not only be pushed and cussed out but physically held away from me during a time when that person was getting in the way.
And you know what? It was the right thing to have done because it was the only way at the time given the circumstances to solve the problem.

When people need to get in and save a person's life, the only person they are thinking of is the one that is in danger. They tend to forget other people's feelings in the event... If you've never been in the situation or witnessed it, I wouldn't expect you to understand. But stop bashing something that you are unfamiliar with...

And as far as the nurse statement goes, there are tons of nurses that never work in life or death situations. My mom is a nurse and I've heard of her losing her cool many times when people got in the way of her doing her job during a code.

My mom's seen plenty of people die, not that she's proud of that and I admire her for being able to deal with that.

All I'm saying is that a simple apology afterwards would be a pretty professional gesture on Milan's behalf.

You don't know the whole story.... you don't know Milan's side. Making 1 sided decisions is the fastest way to look like an idiot.

If your mom's a nurse who has seen plenty of people die, and hopefully also saved plenty of people... ask her how many people she apologized to after saving their loved one's life.
If they got the driver safely out of the car, they did their job.

There are reasons not to have people jumping the wall after an accident and someone that refuses to follow the rules is not only endangering themselves but others as well. I don't see the part where she seriously deserves an apology. But then again, I'm looking at it from a business perspective and from the side of someone who's been in a situation similar to that before.

And like I've said before I'd love to hear it. And as I stated before if they are being misrepresented then why aren't they telling their side of the story?

And I'm sure if my mom called someone a bitch in the heat of the moment she sure as hell would apologize to them afterwards.

I'm not gonna bash Milan or boycott them or anything like that, but I'v been managing and dealing with the public for many years now and I'v also been on the recieving side of the life threatning ambulance ride in which my parents were both going nuts trying to do what they could to help me.

There is no reason to to verbily assault anyone, calling names, or plainly even using the f-word. If you get that out of control where you feel it's necessary to conduct yourself in that kind of manner to your customer's or people that just are scared(my parents in that situation) then maybe you need to step down from what your doing and get a less stressfull job that you can handle.

I'v been threatned twice now by two customer's saying they were gonna shoot me if I didn't fix thier car's for free. Even in a situation like that you have to keep your head strait and kindly kick them off the premises "D". But you don't lose your control and start dropping the f-bomp and look like more of an idiot...Just my $.02

Well then I guess she was the wrong person for the job then!

I'm sorry but I bet that crash was the the first one that the family has had to deal with first hand. I'm sure the wife was "out of it" but that is why the Milan crew should of handled it better. They have delt with many crashes and should be prepaired to deal with customers in a more professional manner!

Does that mean you will be applying to take her job and teach them how it is doen???

I didn't think so. :D

This is not a big payday. This is people doing it because they like to be at the track.

So who in here is going to be volunteering to be a spotter at the next Heads Up race? Or has this all been another Keyboard Racing MM moment?

Step up concerned citizens for "A better track if I don't have to do anything about it" movement. If I'm the only one spotting a pass there on July 11th I'm banning everyone else in this thread for a month. :D

I'll be there, but I'm gonna have a bunch of beers. Don't mind the slurring on the CB :D

I wouldn't take her job it I couldn't do it in a professional manner and she shouldn't have the job if she can't act like a professional to customers.
So by your thinking a person that drives a diesel truck can't bitch about gas prices?
I raced at Milan 10-15 years ago fairly often but about 8 years ago I was there with friends and they were bad back then.
They are very bad at being professional.
They never respond to compaints, they delete threads instead of explaining there side.
They Just do things in a poor manner most of the time.

Dude you haven't raced in 10-15 years and you are talking shit about the track? That track isn't even close to the same as it was back then. Hell even 5yrs ago.

Maybe before you continue to bash the track you should get a car/truck/bike or Jr. Dragster and make a pass.

I love how everyone who doesnt even come to the track rentals are the first ones who tell us to dump them as a sponsor. They make their choices third and fourth hand.
