Damm... after reading this thread its got me searching ebay and craigslist for my old 68 roadrunner that was stolen,
That got damm good money for your mustang.... Im sure road runners would draw good coin as well.
B-2 Blue, (68's have round lights on the fenders-69 were square) ..... non post car, it had no rear end, tow bar brackets on the front end, no motor no trans no rear end. Headers were hanging,
Seats and wood grain steering wheel were 69 charger (black), 69 center council with floor shifter factory looking rally wheel (Wheels may even have been off a ford)

I searched ebay all listings even completed and sold.... did a google advance search for craigslist.....

Damm I wish I had some good pictures.

Damn! Said anything to the eBay seller yet?
He might be innocent and willing to work with you.
I hope you get your car back, for sure keep this thread updated!

Update**
Thanks to some police within our community, and Flint HEAT, I have gotten a full understanding of what happened. A family member sold the car and did not alert me to this. The current owner is legit and legal. Im eating a huge slice of humble pie right now and want to thank Motown and everyone who read, replied, reached out to me. I had no help from local police until community members reached out. To them I am sorry for wasting resources in what has become a family issue, but grateful for their help. Im not mad at my family member, they went thru a lot of grieving in the past year, im going to do my best to reach out and be supportive.

thanks
Matt

Hey all,

I'm asking for help in spreading the word on locating my stolen car and any tips on how to track a stolen project car.
Stolen out of a garage in the daytime in Flint.
Sometime between late Dec and early Jan.
The one witness said he saw 2 caucasian males loading the car on a trailer.

Thanks for help sharing this. It was a car I found and purchased a year ago to become a surprise restoration for my sister.

Best description:

65 fastback mustang, roller project car, had an extra hood, 2 front fenders(1 is blue) and 1 rear quarter. Front windshield is inside the car and cracked. Vin number is barely legible. Unfortunately, I purchased it and shoved it into storage to worry about titling it later. The driver side fastback vent is not attached, it is inside the car.
The hood does not close properly, the struts are messed up.
There is a missing driver side tail light housing, missing passenger reverse light.
Chrome bumpers are inside the car, along with various other interior parts and fenders.
It was an automatic car.
Its rolling on 3 donuts and 1 full size wheel. It does not roll easy, as the brakes were siezed.
Main color is red, sprinkled with rust and white.
There is no front fascia.

Thanks
Matt

From your very 1st post. This story does not make sense to me!

I bought the car at an estate auction. Stored it at a family members garage. Said member sold it and did not tell me. I was led to believe it was stolen. Police info as of today tells me that it was sold without my knowledge.

For those wondering....I did locate the mustang, who has it and where it was going in less than 24hrs....so had it not been misunderstanding....the story would still have ended good.
Gave you some REP points... You can trade Rep points in for prizes at the end of the year!
