Stolen Project Car

I don't have a police report, Flint would not file one. The vin he is using is not from that car. Im calling the Imlay city pd and hoping they will assist. Ill update

*Update*, as suspected without a title, I have no way to show i owned it. Police cant recover what I cant prove. Even with my auction receipts and detailed auction photos. Sucks, but thats what i get for not working harder to title it.

that was the first thing I said to the flint police, dont view it as a vehicle, it is property. They won't accept that, same thing from Imlay city. Incredibly frustrating, because there are plenty of old cars that havent been titled that could have the same thing happen. Title your cars!

Did you call HEAT? Did you give Ebay a copy of all your documents?
Did you attempt to report "stolen auto parts" - because that is basically
what you had?

You have an alleged, documented $4,550. theft.

contacted ebay, filled out Heat form, called state police auto theft task force. just waiting patiently and hoping for a good outcome
 
Find the guys that stole it and kill them. If the cops ask, tell them they didn't have any id, so you know they can't really do anything about it.

Hell id contact everybody you can on this. Michigan attorney general. Fox 2 problem solvers...etc etc. Complete BS that somebody can get away with this

If the car sold and it crosses state lines, the OP can probably involve many more departments.

I mean, this thread alone was started way prior to the CL or eBay ads with pictures of the car at the OPs storage/garage location. If the OP has a bill of sale that should be enough to prove that it was his property.
 
Comparing the pics I have from the auction to his ebay pics. It looks like they cleaned up the vin plate. But it also looks fresh stamped. Ill post when I get home
