I'm thinking a trip to the eastern end of the UP, by drummond island. Maybe even take the ferry over. Need to do more research on the island and see if there's anything there worth seeing.

Also, we are considering the Soo Locks dinner cruise.

...Coming home from out of state last weekend I stopped at the Mi welcome center to pee and picked up a brochure on up north. There are a couple nice eastern UP drives mapped out in it which we could take. I'll have to scan it and post it up.

I'd love to see those drives. I'd be all for them!

The lack of enthusiasm and activity in any of the St. Ignace threads is really disheartening. :shake: What's wrong with you people this year?


On a more positive note due to a change in policies at my work (have to now take at least 5 vacation days in a row) I will be off of work from Monday 6-22-09 to Monday 6-29-09 and will return back to work Tuesday 6-30-09...all while getting paid. Lot's of prep time to get ready for the long weekend and an extra day the following Monday to get back to "normal" mode before heading back to work. Lucky for me today is 6-2-09 and I have already met my investment revenue goal for June.

Folks, if anyone still needs a last minute campsite with the MM group that is currently already going up, please let myself or Jeff (aka URDONE4) know ASAP. His site is currently up for grabs and already paid in full. All you'd have to do is pay him directly. His site is directly next to mine and will be right in the middle of the weekend party action. :33: By the way, he is still going, but per his doctor's orders, he is to stay in a hotel that has the more convenient amenities a campsite might not have at a moment's notice.

Oh, and we still need someone with a pickup to transport firewood (that we will provide for free). Otherwise, 3 nights of paying for firewood to last MANY hours gets pretty expensive at $3-$5 per tiny bundle! The best partying goes down at night around the fire.
