This car has been for sale in Lapeer for a few weeks now, today I stopped to take a couple pictures and chatted with the owner.

He said that it has 58,xxx miles and is all original minus a set of long tubes. Car was repainted ~14 years ago and it looks VERY good. I feel stupid, but I forgot to check if it was a stick or an auto.

Anyhow, just figured I'd do the guy a favor and post it up. Don't ask me any questions as I know nothing about the car other than what I posted, just call him up.

WHY would you buy that when my car can be had for much less and is MUCH more badass? :D

shit i seen a 1997 SS for 13.5, on 14 mile... i called the guy to bust his balls, then he tells me it had 29K original miles..

i then tried to find a way to come up with 13K without my wife finding out...

someshit, is worth the plunge.

I beleive the SS has since sold, Black on Black, all options T-tops, M6...

god is cruel.

Wow, If he changed out the wheels for some 10 holes and put 8 grand in the glovebox, I would be all over that:eek5:

Considering how hard those are to come buy in such nice shape, they should get more $$ than a comprable Mustang IMO.

Looks like a very clean car in that pic at least :D

Bullshit, 2 years ago a friend of mine bought a perfect capri from nebraska, under 60k miles, manual, 5.o carbed w/ 8.8 update, and tenholes for under 4k and drove it back home to MI

Buy that for much less if you want a Capri.

1986 Mercury Capri RS 5.0 (302), 5 speed, posi, K&N air filter, Pro Flo mufflers, ARE wheels. New clutch. Some rust through on rear quarters & rocker panels, rest is soild. Interior is good. Runs & drives great, drive it anywhere. Drivetrain very solid, oil pressure good, transmission shifts nice
Translates to "Been driven hard by me and seems to take it well, car is rusted through and the oil pressure is good now and thankfully the the trans is not toasted... yet"

Grant it, $10K is steep for the red one above, but that looks like a better value than the black one that has seen some 'duty' already :D

I'd much rather buy one for $1800 that needs some love than one for $10,000. Think about it, $1800... Give it a good $6000 worth of love and you're better off than that one for 10k. :)

ARE wheels were stock on that by the way.

Given the $10K is very high, that looks like a better starting point from the pic. I'd rather start un-molested and rust free (if it is that way) personally, but I know everyone doesn't feel that way.

ah, I was going to say, I know TRX's were at least available until 83, but I thought they were the standard wheels on ALL capri's, ARE's being optional
