Two things to remember. When you are down 21-0 in the 1st Quarter, you are going to spend most of the game passing. And when you are up 21-0 in the 1st Quarter you are going to spend the rest of the game running.

Ya know, I think I've learned something today. It's great to be enthusiastic about your team when they are showing promise. But you have to be careful not to get too carried away. While Michigan State may very well finish the season 9-3, we are not in the same class that Ohio State and Penn State are in. While I'm disappointed in the results of todays game, I'm still happy with where the team is as a whole compared to two years ago with John L Smith as coach. I will happily settle for 3rd place in the Big 10 and a trip to the Outback Bowl here in Tampa on New Years Day.
Oh, and Michigan still sucks ass.

i remember watching msu beat u-m at msu about 10 years ago when no one thought they had a chance. there's always a chance. hopefully osu grew up some today, and will be ready for psu. i respect joe pa, but remember all the psu hype when they came into the big10. they were supposed to kick eveyones ass, and, well, it reallly has never happened. all you old school big 10 fans should be pulling for osu, the same way i pulled for u-m today. either way.....

Just kidding, I told Jim I'm hoping for a PSU win. Not because I'm a big fan, but if PSU ends up in the Orange Bowl, OSU goes to the Rose Bowl and MSU would get to the Outback Bowl here in Tampa. If PSU loses, MSU will most like play in AZ in the Copper (Insite) Bowl.

The thing is I've watched enough MSU teams to know they always find a way to lose. It's like the lions, only not nearly as extreme. It's always fun to pick on your rivals, and this is the first time in a while when we have a pathetic team. Give us a good qb and this entire thing would be different. We wouldn't be AS bad, not a perfect season, but a lot better. I'm just waiting for a good recruiting class to get in and let Rrod get his team in. When he was at WVU, he was 3-8 his first season. From the looks of it, he throws away the first season just because his system can't mesh into the existing team. Give him a couple years and his system should be in. Then we'll see how he stands up to the competition. If we're still losing big games and consistently losing to teams we shouldn't, then I'll still be asking for a new coach. Now, PSU needs to just destroy everyone else in their schedule and go to the big game.
