Softball guys, I need some help

I saw bats at Dunhams and Sport Authority for 299-599. Those were in locked cases. Then I saw some from 25-150 out on the shelf. So many frickin bats.

I bought a 99.99 Easton and hit a Grand Slam, 3 hits to the outfield that were fielded very well so they were singles, and a great hit out to center that was unfortunatley caught. I had a hard time throwing a 100 dollar bat to the ground and running, let a lone a 400-500 dollar bat.

yeah i saw the ones on ebay :) I was hoping that a local place might still have one sitting in stock for the $299 that they sold for from the store. Now everyone is asking $400+ for them

...and how much does your softball team pay you?

why would my softball team need to pay me? I play 3 games a week in 2 diffeent leagues. I want a good bat for myself. If the other guys on the team end up using it too, so be it. I'm not stingey :)

PS. I scored one for $300 :) It's hard to find a good ASA bat

I'm just trying to figure out what would make a bat worth $300. I've had the same $60 Louisville Slugger for about 12 years and it still hits balls just fine.

More expensive bats typically have more pop to them........thus you hit the ball harder/further. Most of the high end priced bats are composite.

Same reason why the more expensive the cylinder head.......typically they flow more air.
