1978 Porsche 928 I think it has a 4.5 V8 w/auto transmission. I know nothing about these cars. Any info would be great.

I hope you are an electrician!!!!

Early 928's are a bit of a nightmare, Racing Outlaw 10.5 might be less expensive than the maintainance on an early 928.

Oh, and it's Por shaaaaa, not Porsh.

:D

ask any "porsche" guy and thats the answer you will get they are not big popwer cars but they can handle well, they are more of a expressway car

Great fun with drag radials and a 100 shot! :)

No experience with porscheahh, but more traction and power helps everything! :)

Congrats! I always notice these cars. I remember seeing a modified one in Motortrend maybe??

watch risky business lol, whenever i see one of those early porsche like that, thats the first thing that comes to mind

"Porsch-Uh" to be correct ;)

Yeah, wiring is hell on those. A good friend of mine is a factory trained Porsche technician. What are you looking to know?

Pics? My Dad knows a lot about these cars. They are expensive though too.
He is down your way, I am curious of the one you bought may be one he worked on a few years back.

Edit, I just saw you said it was an Auto, the one his customer had was manual.

Wiring sucks on all Porsche's. I had to repair major damage on a 924s that the guy hooked the battery up backwards in. Really screwy wiring. Otherwise, nice driving cars

I bought this car in a no running condition. It's a very clean car from TN the interior sucks ass to but thougth it might be a fun car to drop a ls motor in or something. It's a auto matic car. I will post some pictures soon.

Great cars when they run, awesome engine too, very strong and durable. I have a customer that works on them, I do a lot of alignments for him, they drive kinda like a Corvette, not my cup of tea but a lot of guys like them.

thats not a Porsche its a rebadged audi

A 928? I knew the 924/944s were basically Audi, but was sure the 928 was all Porsche.

I have a friend who owns one of the late Heinz Prechter's 928's.
Black over one of the creamiest, sexiest, red leather interiors I have ever seen in my life.
The guys who own them absolutely adore them. I understand parts are VERY pricey!! And take some searching for.

Did i just read that you said........ drop a ls motor in..........omg......u would be hooked.......Here i thought you where Mr Ford..lol
