man ive been posting a lot of threads about my car...

well i have a slight issue. last summer my water pump went bad, and upon installing the bolts going into the block from the water pump, i broke one off into the block, had to take the whole timing cover off with the engine in the car to get the piece out, and MAN is it a PITA to replace the timing cover on the engine with the pan still on. when i pull the engine (which should be happening soon) im going to replace the whole oil pan with a new one and a new gasket (its been leaking oil since ive done the job).
but heres the problem... i got a small coolant leak coming from under my thermostat housing, and it seems to be pooling up on my timing cover. at first i thought it was my thermostat housing so i pulled that off and got a different one, and put a new thermostat in. doesnt seem to be leaking from there. my thoughts are either its the lower intake front seal (because i cant see underneath the thermostat housing to tell if its leaking from there) or its seeping out of my timing cover (from where the coolant passages are on it)... i cant even tell where its coming from though so should i replace the seal on my timing cover or should i leave it? i didnt have a torque wrench at the time, obviously thats why i broke a bolt. but it could be because i didnt torque them down to proper spec... but i suppose if thats what it is the gasket is ruined either way.
symptoms are:
1.timing cover gasket itself is wet on the top. you can see where the blue part of the gasket has turned green from the coolant staining it. this is all around the whole gasket that comes out past the timing cover.
2. freeway driving i could smell coolant when i had my window down and i let off the gas. but only when i was slowing down. not sure if it was from the oil leaking onto my exhaust but im pretty sure it had the distinct smell of coolant. and i only smelled it decelerating from freeway speeds with the window DOWN. never from the inside of the car (i have a good heater core lol)
i remember also before i replaced my thermostat housing, coolant blew out from the bottom of it from what i believe was a bad thermostat, and it leaked all the way down the side of my engine.... since i switched thermostats i dont think its leaking from there but i suppose it could be a possibility. also not seeing any leaks from hoses. what should i do?!
