They are 4T65E's. I haven't heard anything bad about them. I work at the auto salvage and I haven't ever taken a call on one. I'm sure the smoke shows will stop when he gets used to it. :icon_mrgr

Oh, but of course!:icon_mrgr I'd do the same thing!!! Those cars have an aluminum K-frame making them even lighter than the older 97-03 Grand Prixs.

Nice choice Al, those cars are sweet. The suede and leather interior is really sharp. White looks real good on that car.

Yeah, I read the reason and I can't see it making that much difference in cornering ability. I'm likely widening the rear wheels 1" and adding tires that match the front sizes after winter.

Weldcraft will widen them. It's about 200 per wheel for 1-3 inches. CRAZY!!!

So there's the new family 4-door. It's a 2005 Grand Prix GXP with a 5.3l v8.
The good news:
With the traction control off it will roll a LOT of smoke off the front tires. Wifey was not pleased when she was in the car next to me and I took off on green. :lol:
