Note to self, do not buy or lease any used Chrysler car in the next 5 years.
In my personal and professional experience with them I would not own one outside of the warranty period. It's almost as if the service life is matched up with the lease terms.

FWIW, Dodge was the only American car brand in the top 10 for dependability in the most recent consumer report at #8. Ford was #16 and Cadillac #30. This is in large part due to the outstanding dependability record of the Challengers and Chargers and caravan of course. They've been building the same cars for over 10 years and have it down pat!
I was thinking the same thing. They have been building that Chassis for almost 20 years I think. I would expect nothing less! I was working at Chrysler in 1999 and I think it was a joint project between Large Car platform and the Germans (I was there during the Daimler-Chrysler era. A merger of equals!).
