Rumors are rumors and till the device is officially announced I'm not overly holding my breath. In order for Samsung to overcome the S3 and impress me enough to go buy one, they would have to really step up. Not like other companies which have given up on innovation and focused on litigation. So here's the current rumor list.
1. Quad Core. The international version of the s3 had quad core while the US variant was dual core. This had to do with the LTE chip and processor in the US not being compatible with regulations etc... I think this has a high probability of happening, but it's really just a benchmark stat. Apps still aren't programmed for multi core usage so it makes the phone faster than an older phone, but you don't really enjoy anything other than that.
2. Unbreakable screen. Lots of rumors out there about this. Some say it's a flexible screen that has a bend, don't break setup. Others go to an extreme and say it's possible it'll be a flip phone that is full screen. I highly doubt this. I'm more inclined to believe the bend don't break setup, but no matter what, if this turns out to be true, it'll be a huge advancement for cell phones as an industry.
3. OS will be Key Lime Pie. I doubt this. If the S4 is truly announced in January, it would have to wait till q3 or q4 to release the S4 with the newest, greatest, OS from Google. That's a long time to wait after an announcement and I'm not overly sure how they can even demo 5.0 if Google hasn't even announced it's goodies yet. So if this is truly the S4, it'll be running Jelly Bean and customers will have to wait for their carriers to get off their ass to release 5.0 once it comes out.
That's it so far for the rumors.
