Red wings

next year is going to be interesting.. there are alot of young guys in grand rapids that need to be in the nhl, so i see some veterans leaving.. Helm, Ablekader, leino, Ericsson, Jimmy Howard, all these guys need to see nhl time this coming year.. sorry to say it but i think maltby, holmstrom, samuelson all need to go.. i love homer, but he is a liability on the ice these days..

Only part of this i disagree with is howard. If he was nhl caliber, he would have been up already. His numbers in grand rapids are less than stellar.
I wouldnt be too butthurt if hudler got a bigger deal from another team as well.

Thanks for the update... now where were you to respond to this?

They were what, one goal short of pushing OT in game 7 of the finals? Yeah, they're D totally blew it.  Get a grip Ryan. Could it be that the Pens just plain old outplayed the wings?

Let him go....whatever. Money rules all sports. They'll just buy someone else, and that athlete will only play as hard as he has to, not as hard as he could.

You were laughing at me saying they wouldn't win it. The D did blow it. In the last game wasn't it a turnover by the D that caused the first goal? Yes we got outplayed, but when we were up 2 - 0 in the series, you sure were positive I'd be wrong. Kind of like you thinking Rrod is a bad coach because he replaced your boy.

Yeah, they blew it. Making it to the Stanley cup finals is blowing it. You're the same guy that thinks Coach Carr didn't do shit, so this is no big surprise.

RROD though, man he's got it locked. 3-9, no bowl game and a loss to Toledo. Shows what you know, huh? How's the view up your ass?

Ignorance is bliss isn't it? i supposed you also think that Carr losing to App State was a great coaching job? Or how about losing at least 1 game a year that he shouldn't lose due to being so obsessively conservative. you could almost guarantee that if the opposing team got the ball with less than 2 minutes in either half they would score. Why? becuase He played not to lose. he never played to win. but that's neither here nor there.

I predicted from the beginning they would get to the finals and lose. When we were up 2 - 0 in the series you tried to knock my prediction as being basically outlandish because only 2 other teams in all of NHL history had lost the finals after being up 2 to 0. Then the unthinkable happened... you were wrong. Plain and simple. you talked trash and couldn't back it up. I was right from the beginning and you were wrong.

I've also been saying give Rod at least 3 seasons to get his players in place and start getting the team retaught on a winning system. But again, you like to open your mouth at half time and don't realize that the score can easily swing in my direction.

I didn't read any of that shit.^^^

Ryan, I'm going to unleash so much man love on you tonight when you get home from work. I love it when your wife works late.

I was in Chicago last weekend. I made sure I pointed out how bad the Cubs/Sox/Hawks had/were doing to everyone I could. I suprised I survived, and Steph was extremely embarrased by me!

Hossa is now a Blackhawk.

Sucks he left, but Chitown can have him for that kinda money. 12 years @ $62.8M. 6 goals, 9 assists in 23 post season games is worth > $5M/year.

I agree, our D needs work. As much I like Stuart, he made several turnovers in our defensive zone that led to goals... including in game 7 (if I remember correctly). We have 4 pretty solid defensemen (Lindstom, Rafalski, Kronwall and Ericcson)... the others can be 'iffy'.

In Stuart's defense he(along with the rest of the D) had to play a lot of extra minutes when Nick was out. This caught up to them in big way imo.

Stewie did a nice job in the playoffs this year. You can't judge a guy by one play.
Personally, I think Kronvall makes some piss poor decisions out there.
Lidstrom is obviously in a class by himself. Rafalski I have no use for in the
defensive zone. Ericcson looks smooth and cool. He looks like he will be very good.
I'd like to see more of Meech and I wonder what ever happened to Kyle
Quincy who did such a nice job in the playoffs paired with Chelios in 2008.
