Rebuilding the coupe!

The bodywork is still moving along well. I bought another front bumper from Dan Schoneck, since the other was just too far gone to repair(although I'll save it in case a future patch panel is needed). Mike has all the body lines matched up well from the front fenders into the bumper now, and just needs to finish some minor blocking on the bumper.
The hood had a large crack in the right front corner, but was still one piece and was repaired. It turned out great and is also nearly finished. It was mocked up along with the front clip to ensure all body lines and gaps were correct. The car will be even more straight than it was before!
It looks like Mike will be on track to get the parts cut in around the first of the year. I still can't believe the amount and quality of work that has already been done. Seeing color soon will be awesome!

Holy shit does that look beautiful...

LOL maybe not "beautiful" yet, but certainly better than a few months ago! It won't be long now, but you'll have to wait to see the new color.

Thanks again guys, I gotta' get this thing back together and ready for spring testing!

leave it to joe.....even perfection isn't good enough sometimes.....;)

I did really like the black, but it was a toss up between black and the new color when it was painted last time. Since every panel needed paint this time except for the driver's door, I figured it's a good time to change things up a bit and give the car a little more visual "pop".
