Rebuilding the coupe!

More detail work has been done. Mike stretched the quarter opening to match the left side(to fit the 29.5's) and rebuilt the wheelwell lip. The tail light panel and quarter are finish welded, and it's just about time to spread and sand some filler now that the actual collision repairs are nearly complete. It's SO nice to see the car taking shape again!

Jim- First off let me say thanks to you and Steve for the HUGE help this week!!! You always come through with the parts! As far as traveling south, where do 'ya want to go? I've been kinda' watching to see what programs Muncie and Indy are putting together, they may be fun to try out along with Milan's stuff. I don't know what my racing budget will look like come spring time, with the way the automotive industry is right now. Plus, it's taking about all I can scrape up, hustle, and borrow just to fix this thing correctly. I had just got the spray on the car when this happened, so I'd certainly like to get testing early next spring. We'll have to see what happens!

happy to help!!....it was mostly steve, i was just in charge of the logistics..

uhh....i gotta admit that i started that rumor just to test the waters......but seeing as how you're agreeable to a road-trip, maybe it's time to see how far we'd have to go to find some warm weather come february...

looking good joe caqnt wait to see you car out again it will be in showroom condition in no time cant wait to see finished project

Any new pics Joe? Hows the car coming along?

Lot's of work has been done, but it's the type of work that doesn't really look like much LOL. All the filler and seam caulking is done, the outside is all primed, and ready for blocking which will take awhile. The underhood required a little attention where the right inner fender panel had a small wrinkle. Mike plans to start the paint cut in work by the first of the year.
