RANT ON!!!!

This morning, a lady in a new Jeep Commander backed into my tiny little focus, at the gas station, pushing in both passenger side doors. I have been in so many accidents, it doesnt make me mad anymore. Its like whatever. It happens. BUT.... what pisses me off is the consequences of it being HER fault. Apparently, shes a teacher at the school across the street from the gas station. She tried to say that she didnt see me. Okay. Thats fine. Your Jeep sits higher than my Focus. Understandable. I do recall... that the new Commanders, have that crazy little feature that ALERTS YOU if something is too close, when you put it in REVERSE!!!! So, through all the FUCKING BEEPING, she still manages to plow into me. Then, she proceeds to tell me that the Jeep belongs to her fiance, and he keeps the insurance in his wallet. Gives me her phone number, and says, well, "HAVE A GOOD DAY". Are you fucking kidding me??? She just smashed in my car, and tells ME, to have a good day??

Anyways, the cops show up, and he begins to piss me off even more. Apparently, because a gas station is PRIVATE PROPERTY, he isnt going to give her a ticket. Hitting a car? OHHH... No problem. NO TICKET. No proof of insurance? NO TICKET. Fleeing the scene? NO FUCKING TICKET! So, here I am, stuck with $1000 deductible, needing two new doors..... and she gets to play demolition derby whenever she wants to with no consequences.

You know.... something just doesnt seem quite fair...... This is where I throw the BULLSHIT card. Its just, "Sorry Lisa.... you just got fucked."

Rant Off.

its sad but true

just get her info and contact her co. and contact yors as well , tell em the story

They cant issue a ticket but they have to file a report and assign blame, shes responsible for the first 500 of your deduct

I had the same thing happen to me on private property. Luckily the guy stayed there. Police man showed up and said he couldn't write a ticket or take any action except exchange our information. So he exchanged our information and my insurance went after him. I never paid a cent.

can they write you a ticket for careless/wreckless on private property?

EDIT: wait i think they can write tickets on private property. if there was a law broken i think that gives them a reason to enter private property and assess the situation from there.

I understand that it was private property and theres nothing that they can do. I know that if the insurance company goes after her, I'll only get $500. I just think that the law is crap. I might as well grab $500 and an old beater car with no insurance, go to a gas station/grocery store whatever, and start smashing up a car of my choice. At least I know that the $500 in my pocket will cover the deductible, then I cant be charged with anything else.

I was just outback of an abandoned factory doin a few snow donuts when the cops rolled up and told me to get out of there unless i wanted a ticket. im sure i was in the wrong there but im just sayin its kinda dumb that they cant write a ticket for a accident on a private property but they can come in on their own and kick someone out... what gives?

Lmaggs, had someone have the same thing happen and they ended up getting stuck with everything. gotta love michigan laws.

Your car was parked ,the engine off you where and you where inside the store part of the gas station.

AAA will wave the deductable , with a police report

No police report because of private property- still should wave the deductable.

Happened twice to me years ago, once in kmart parking (st claire shores would not not give a police report)
Parked along street at my buddys house in east detroit, went to station and got a report.

Both times the deduct was waved beacuse the car was parked with noone in it.

just goto her school and find her, then fallow her to provate property and braodside the bitch

Her house and driveway is private property right? no ticket can be issued right? Just ram her SUV there...but then you'd get charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.

Yeah I dont want to be charged with anything!! I just want my poor lil ol car fixed. *growl* I just got all my accidents off my record. I thought I was done dammit!!!

So I guess this is a good thing.... but the douche bag just called me. She doesnt want to turn it into her ins. company, but instead wants to pay to have my car fixed. :dontknow: It's gonna be much more than the deductible, so I wonder what shes gonna say....... Either way, I hope she helps me out. Otherwise, that Jeep is going to meet the mighty FOCUS again!!! *evil giggles*
