Thanks! That was actually taken like 2 summers ago.I used a 1.3MP point and shoot...haha
I tell you what, that 1.3MP sony takes wayyyy better pics than my 10MP cannon P&S does..haha...
Its all good though! D70 on the way!

I dropped the d40 roughtly 2 weeks after i bought it.
I needed money to pick up my rent, and some kid wanted the camera and gave me exaclty what i paid for it...
So, it was sold. Now, im just waiting for my second sememster billing to come threw for school, and hopefully ill have enough to pick up my d70 body, and a lens.....

The body is older...but for the price used they really cant be beat...
You can pick them up on B&H really cheap...
I was going to get a d40x, but the lens i want will not autofocus with the d40 series...
So the d70 will do the trick...

Autofocus can be a catch22. While it will focus on the subject, it tend to produce a soft focus when used by itself.

Well, my lady just stepped up from her rebel to a very very nice Cannon 50D. She also picked up a new tripod, a good all around lens, a telephoto lens, and a very nice wide angle lens...
I will say she jsut dropped HUGE money...hahaha.... She went big.
So i have that to play around with too. So my d70 is no rush as of now...hahaha

yeah, ive got way too much money into this hobby. im going to have to pick one and stick with it. i just dropped ~$1200 for my most recent lens....

Oh, could you maybe shoot me some info on the "L" lenses? Id appreciate it...
She is using it as a back up just incase something ever happens....

one of the best walk-around lenses canon makes in the L series would be the 24-70 f2.8. VERY fast lens and lets a TON of light in in low light situations, it also helps with the 12800 ISO. unless you have a nice lens anything above 3200 iso gets grainy, with this 24-70 f2.8 lens its totally manageable.
there are a few things on the 50D that arent very useful, like live view/etc but overall the camera is by far the best ive had. ill even say its better than my 5D mark 1 I had, some will argue that though. WAY better than my 20D.
