Oh shoot...its me....

He just used a white background to bring out the subject. Its just like a portrait you would have taken at a picture place. The shirt doesn't really work for me though.

I didnt set this photo up...it wasnt planned. I actually didnt take it but since it was of me i posted it up...haha

My friend Sean and I were at the CMU football game and had to take pics of people wearing cmu jerseys. As we were walking around, Sean asked me to stand still for a second so he could expose properly for the harsh sunlight we were shooting in. It just so happend i was standing in front of the side of a white tent when he took the shot to check his exposure. White tent, over exposer, harsh sunlight... and some editing = this photo. Dont think it was a fully posed photo that we set up in advanced. It was just a shot to check exposure and i just happend to be standing infront of a white background...haha

These are not very good...I need a better telephoto lens and more skillz

I have a friend who is a Staff Photographer for the paper i work with...and also a free lance guy for Midland paper. He shot the airballoon thing too! I like your pics..they are neat...

Here is my friends Neils photo: Its under 'silhouette'

I know nothing about photography, what do you call that kind of coloring/shading thats used in this picture?

I dont really know what he did to get the photo to look like that. The image itself was already overexposed when he took it, meaning it was lots brighter than it should have been. Im guessing played with some shading and some color tone...idk though..haha

really? all the tones seemed off to me. maybe I need my eyes checked.

No, he edited the photo like that on purpose...

It was just us screwing around. I kinda like it!

Lit up the truck last night.

Lit up the car tonight. These were 15 second exposures with a handheld 580ex walking around firing. I need more/better lighting. :(

Did you use gels for your truck? They both look cool!

I tried to light up my car about a week ago. Its really tough! Shadows are crazy...real crazy! Lighting up cars is hard. At least with two lights. Its easy to fill shadows when you have like 6 lights on one car...but im not into that at all. So i just need to learn two/three lights.

Im not pleased with the outcome at all, so i have never posted any of them. But since we are on the topic of lighting cars, here is my un-washed 99 bone stock civic! Hopefully i can read up and experiment some more with lighting cars.

No, that's just the contrast between flash/tungsten. I realized especially with dark green you need a lot MORE light. I fired probably 20 times and it didn't bring the truck out as much as I hoped. Either a lower aperture or more lighting, or I'm doing something wrong. Car was the same way, but less figity. Of course white is easier. Maybe my issue is the long shutter, no idea. Thanks though. Yours doesnt look too bad, just needs a little more light.
