I always shoot single focus point. Once i got used to it it just comes as very natural now.
Its even more helpful in the photojournalism line of work. Things happen very very fast and you really have to be ready. Sometimes the subject im shooting will all of a sudden move to the left real quick and if your not fast with focus points...now she is blurred out and you can see some nice trees in the background...haha

These were a couple I took back in February in AZ. I just got around to touching them up. They're not very good, but I figured I'd share anyway.
Also had a question about this picture (and pictures like it):
Is this HDR? If not, what are you doing to get the contrast and colors so perfect? That is a great shot...trying to figure out what was done or what techniques were used, but I'm coming up empty. Amazing work!
