Random Snap Shot Thread

pocketwizards. 1600ft range. :D
i just got 2 of them on ebay for $337 shipped. im kinda new at it, but i hope to make some progress this summer. i also ordered a lumopro flash, which has an optical slave. it can be triggered from the light that other flashes produce. it gets flashed, and fires at the same time. so it can save some money on triggers. might be something to look into. right now i only have my 430ex with a pocket wizard to fire it. havnt had much of a chance to really use it much. im waiting for my lumopro to show. 2 is better than 1. :D

but grant has 4 pocketwizards and 3 flashes. the shot of the beer bottle was lit with his new alienbee B800's. they have optical slaves built in, just like the lumopro. i'd imagine he used the PW's to trigger them though.
lol I didn't cause it was too much work to set up lol I would on location though for reliability.

ttl is lame I'm glad my regular pocketwizards are obsolete now cause that means they will be cheaper. I'd stick with the normal pocketwizards if I were you that way you can learn to light with the flash manually and not let the camera decide what your shots look like.

That's gonna be tough since I'm retarded and couldn't figure that out...

i know its nice to know everything but just starting out with off camera flash stuff im thinking it might be easier to figure stuff out using ttl first. then get into manual
