Well, i went out and took a couple pics. I really wasnt planning on taking photos...but i did take a couple. I took all these full auto mode mostly....with mittens on!! haha

Thanks guys! The shots were taking in Grand Rapids. At the time i took these, it was 4 degrees out...hahaha...

Thats why i kept it on auto with mittens on! I really couldnt get creative, cause i didnt want to take my gloves off...hahaha


The lens im shooting is the 18-55EF-S IS lens. Its the new 'kit' lens that comes with the new 450D's and what not. I did lots of research before i bought it and people said it was a very nice walk around lens for a budget photographer. I love it!

Also found out my camera has 7,200 shots on it....

Thats not too bad at all!!

Although,since i bought the cam used, it did not come with software. So, as of now, i have to shoot in JPEG and not RAW because my computer wont pick up RAW photos...neither will lightroom. But if i shoot JPEG, my computer will pick them up so i can transfer them....

im not exactly sure what you mean, but i open all my raw images in lightroom.

that is a sweet camera.

I love how it makes the upclose stuff clear and the background out of focus but you can still make it out

thats called depth of field. has to do with the lens aperture, not the camera itself. :lol:

Overdone, fake, HDR type photo.....

Its one of the photos i didnt like that i took...buttt..i wanted to mess around with it and play with lightroom...

Here is my outcome. Like i said, its not my fave style of photos...but its fun to play around with..haha
