There is also a sign that says you MUST turn left from the inside lane, as shown below. So there's no need to signal.

So if you are in a right turn lane you don't need to signal?? Not arguing, just curious if that is a fact? NOT using a turn signal is a HUGE pet peeve of mine and it seems like anymore if you DO signal, someone will try and fuck you out of what you are trying to do...even a simple lane change.

I would say you definitely need to signal from the outside lane, because you have the option of either turning left or going straight.... but from the inside lane, the sign and the paint on the road says you must turn left, therefor you've "signalled" your intentions the moment you entered that lane. At least, that's what my argument would be.

and yes, I hate people who don't signal. And yes, I see people all the time who try to close up space/not let you in when you DO try to be polite and signal. If there is space, and I signal, and I see somebody speed up... I just come on over anyway. Fuck 'em.

It say "ord: 257.648" and then onder that it says "2650" .

(1) The driver of a vehicle or bicycle upon a highway, before stopping or turning from a direct line, shall first see that the stopping or turning can be made in safety and shall give a signal as required in this section.

(2) A signal required in this section shall be given either by means of the hand and arm in the manner specified in this section, or by a mechanical or electrical signal device which conveys an intelligible signal or warning to other highway traffic, except as otherwise provided in subsection (3). When a signal is given by means of the hand and arm, the driver shall indicate his or her intention to stop or turn by extending his hand and arm from and beyond the left side of the vehicle and signal as follows:

I was in the turn-around and didnt signal left. I assumed that a lane where you can only go one direction was treated like a round about.

I was just there earlier today... I always hit my left turn signal as soon as the right one goes off and leave it on throughout the turnaround, never had a problem, even in that turn around.

Update : went to court today. I was told to be there at 8:15 and was there by 8:00 . Waited two and a half hours to see the prosecutor !! He asked my story and said " Yeah, im not sure if you violated the turn signal law. I can give you zero points and a fine of 155. " I asked if nobody was sure of the law, why would i pay 155 ? He then says " well, you can fight it. "
Ok , i say and i go into the court room.
At 11:05, i get to go in front of the judge. He says" you wont be testifying, you have to set up a formal hearing. Go downstairs to the cashier and set up a date. "
My file doesnt arrive downstairs until 11:30 . 3.5 hours WASTED and i still have to go back to court.

Next week im going to take video of the 250+ cars that get out of my school and make the turn there. If i did violate the law, canton could write hundreds of tickets at 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm.

Not trying to screw anybody, come on. I want to show that the turn i made is normal and accepted at that intersection. I want to show that the police do not enforce this and this officer wrote an excessive ticket for nothing.

I would of glady settled with the fine no points. The judge cam say piss off pay the primal fine and have the points to. Sat in formal traffic court a few times lol and watched as more and more ppl went up to their hearing he got less and less forgiving. He got pissed cause there were so many driving on suspended that he was angry as hell about it an ppl with cleaner records got more shit as the day went on just because it put him in a pissed off mood. Lol Good luck to you tho

He wrote a bad ticket. It may be zero points , but its still on your record. Insurance companys can see it and so can cops and judges.
