Cool!Making progress slowly but surely.
Dave had my Th-350 for mock up when he was doing my car.I'm guessing the case on the 4l60e and a t56 must be bigger ??? guys have to cut the motor mounts off so they can lower the motor about 2 inches.....
I had to push the steering shaft towards the firewall about an inch for the top knuckle on the Flaming river shaft wouldn't hit the headers but that was it.
So the motor has to be that high so the steering shaft clears the headers....right ?.......This means that the guys that are cutting the motor mounts off so they can lower the motor are not going to be able to use conversion headers....big bummer......but the turbo guys might get lucky.....and the guys using th350 trans.....yes lots of pictures please.......Also do you know if the case on a th400 is as big or bigger then a 4l60e ?

I had to push the steering shaft towards the firewall about an inch for the top knuckle on the Flaming river shaft wouldn't hit the headers but that was it. My motor with the victor Jr. and Pro-Systems carb will still fit under a stock hood if I had one. I can snap some photos and text them to you if you would like...I don't think my motor sits up as high as the one you have pictured. I could be wrong but I can take some photos if you would like.
I have had no issues with the K member or anything. Have you spoke to Dave about your concerns?
did you talk to dave about the k member?
i know they had some bad k members go thru, perhaps you got one but this was awhile ago now.
