Hell of a buy. I was thinking about trying to get in line behind you in case you passed on it. Not in the market for one, but at that price, who wouldn't be?

Thanks. Actually got it for 12,300, it also has a pretty nice sound system with sub and amp thats also been upgraded.

I have had good luck with BOTH tuning and Tech support from FiTech. I put the FiTech Meanstreet on my 67 BBC and love it. Not one issue...
Really? I've read a lot before choosing and lots of people complained that when they had a hardware issue with it fitech was difficult to deal with for support. Where Holley is far easier from what I've read. Both have their pros and cons. I've always had good luck with Holley products.

Lots of people had issues with their goofy FCC (Fuel Command Centers) to avoid running an electric Fuel pump.

Also many people did not take the time to get the IAC (Idle Air Control) set right before they get started.

I really dont see how it could not have been any easier. I merely followed their detailed directions, asked many questions before install and was cake. I even spoke personally to the Owner when he was at Autorama last year. He was super helpful. If it were not for me being ultra anal with me hiding all the wiring I could have done it in less than 3 hours. I was looking into the Holley Sniper Setup's but were on a long backorder back then.

Yeah, it's probably a case of either one will work. I've seen people do some stupid shit on the Holley Sniper pages as well. So really either system is probably only as good as the installer. LOL. This will be fun on the 84 though.

Here is my set up right after install
View attachment 83078Good stuff, keep me posted.
Will do!

This guy knows!

I was at autorama last year as well, helping customers with tech and tuning questions.
And like you stated...... get the iac right!

I read a part about adding a coolant temp sensor. Is this only for fan control or tuning parameters? On my 1969 Mustang, I already have a coolant temp sender in the intake manifold and another coolant temp switch in the thermostat housing to control the cooling fan. I don't have any other ports for another sensor.

Yeah, the Holley has a coolant temp sensor for tuning parameters and it also can control the fans. Going to eliminate my standalone fan controller and let it handle it.

Fitech uses a coolant temp sensor and complete fan control as well
