This is a good excuse to get an A/V receiver and some good sounds

You know, I was thinking I'm going to need something. The old Hitachi had some pretty decent sounds built into the base. These new TV's are awful, no room for speakers.

I'm at minimum going to have to get an audio bar. LG makes one that was on sale for $218.

I don't know which direction to go, but I know who to consult.

That should be plenty good enough until you get the TV out of the corner. It's difficult to position traditional speakers in corners due to acoustics.

What if I put the new TV on top of the old TV and use the old TV just for sound?

Ha, my dad didn't want to buy a TV stand back in 82 when we got a new Sylvania, so he gutted the old TV and reused the cabinet. "Why the hell does a new TV cost so damn much, and it does even with any legs to stand it on. ?"

At the moment my Quick Fuel Carb is acting as a Paper Weight, but hopefully not for to much longer! Goal is to have the ol'girl back on the road by woodward. (Fingers crossed)
