The pixels on an OLED TV provide their own lighting, whereas a typical LED TV uses a LED backlight to illuminate the pixels. With OLED, you get a much better contrast ratio without any backlight bleed. You also get better viewing angles with OLED compared to LED.
When I bought my 4k tv about 6 months ago I looked at the OLED. We wanted 65"+ and the price for the LG one was about 9,000. I paid 5k for my curved Samsung. The OLED ones though are badass, just didn't want to put 10k into a TV.
