I finally gave up on the Mountaineer after 228,000 miles decided to throw in the towel.
Between the terminal ass-end cancer a failing transmission and leaking exhaust system, just could not see dumping more money in a rust bucket so I bid farewell.

It is a 99 with 03/04 wheels. Only 7k miles. It is clean. I wish it was a terminator but the wife would have had to approve additional funds.

The 99 had the SVT COBRA emblem on the back vs the SVT on the 01

(that's what it looks like it has on the decklid in the pic)
