I'm sure it'll be pretty a nice savings. Where'd you get the LED bulbs from? I've been interested in them for awhile, but the prices haven't come down to my liking yet.

Homie Depot has blow outs on them all the time... Also been surfing the web for em... Just have to shop...

I see em on eBay for very nice prices, not sure of the quality though. You can get the Chinese bulbs for like $4 or $5 a pop, whereas they sell them locally for $15+. Have you tried any of the Chinese bulbs?

99% of the LED bulbs are china made, Cree has really pushed the price points down, Rumor is Cree will be releasing 4 foot led replacements for flourcent bulbs before year end

Home Depot. Cree for some of them, and then EcoSmart for the rest. They had a bunch of DTE-subsidized bulbs on sale for between $8 and $15 when I bought them. The $8 bulbs were pretty much a no brainer, but the problem for me is Cree only makes soft white or daylight, and that nuclear daylight is intolerable. I bought ecosmart bright white which is mid temp for the kitchen, but those are now double the price for some reason. If you use a certain light a lot, an $8 LED pays off very quickly.

The brightness is pretty weak on the cheap bulbs. I need them to make a $7 100w equivalent and we'll be all set. I do have a ton of BR20 50w spotlights throughout my house, so that made a big difference.
