Nice, Home Depot has the Cree LED bulbs for ~$10 each. I'll have to take a look at those. I'm also interested in dimmable LED track lights for my kitchen and living room. Also thinking of getting a Nest thermostat, are those worth the $250?
I have adjustable LED's in my house and love them so far.... I didn't go nest route... Went with radiothermostat instead for $100... No fee's...
I don't know if it's worth it in terms of saving money but it's worth it in cool factor for sure.Nice, Home Depot has the Cree LED bulbs for ~$10 each. I'll have to take a look at those. Home Depot. Cree for some of them, and then EcoSmart for the rest. They had a bunch of DTE-subsidized bulbs on sale for between $8 and $15 when I bought them. The $8 bulbs were pretty much a no brainer, but the problem for me is Cree only makes soft white or daylight, and that nuclear daylight is intolerable. I bought ecosmart bright white which is mid temp for the kitchen, but those are now double the price for some reason. If you use a certain light a lot, an $8 LED pays off very quickly.
The brightness is pretty weak on the cheap bulbs. I need them to make a $7 100w equivalent and we'll be all set. I do have a ton of BR20 50w spotlights throughout my house, so that made a big difference.
I stopped going there a few years ago. Sold car, bought Street car, atv's, lost all interest in Milan. Management of that place is part of the reason. Got a little boy who gets all my free time.
