Does anybody know about patriot performance cylinder heads? Was thinking about putting them on my 2002 Mustang GT 4.6L
I did a search of them recently and couldn't find any solid reviews. I was reading on one forum this guy loved them, but then was owned by some dude who built some N/A 4.6L that ran an 11.46 in the 1/4 mile saying that he wouldn't trust their quality. And then later on the guy who loved the PP cylinder heads credibility was further bashed when he didnt know the difference between a push rod and overhead cam engine. It was a pretty good read....haha, but, those posts were from several years ago.
and as far as I have been able to find out, they use stock PI heads for the 4.6L and just port them, do a valve job, add larger valves and valve springs that can handle .600" lift cams. I dont see how you could possibly screw that up.
trick flow wants close to $2k for their heads, and it seems like they come ready to port and polish or would require more work? im not sure.
If anyone has input about this, let me know.
