Official College Football 2016 Thread

Right. Next year. Isn't that what Spartan fans used to say was a sign of beaten team with no hope for the future? By the way, I'm curious what players you're going to win with. You keep losing your recruits to other teams.

Hell, MSU just lost a highly recruited DL to Maryland. Let that sink in. You got beat on the recruiting trail by Michigan and by Michigan's former DC. That's going to sting.

Remember when Dantonio told everyone MSU was selling results, not hope. I'm guessing they are not in the market for selling hope.

By the way, MSU has one commit since the season started. In a year when they have a full stash of schollys to give out. I bet Smooth is quiet because he got one. Seems MSU will need to just field a team of walk ons at this point. Go club affect.

I know it's basketball but it's just some more icing on the sporty collapse cake. Losing to northeastern. Looking like sporty may not make the tourney this year.

Swifter doesn't count regular season games for basketball. According to his logic they will be in tourney automatically even if they have a losing season.

Nope. Just enjoying the side show. It's quite entertaining. Dantonio listed out 15 reasons the Spartans sucked this year. He blamed the players, blamed injuries, blamed pretty much anything he could without listing the coaching staff and their decisions. I'm looking forward to the complete collapse of MSU football next year if Dantoni doesn't pull his head out of his rear.

As a side question, isn't blaming the players something all Spartan's said was a sign of a pathetic coach?

Not at all. He blamed the coaching staff and how they conducted their business. This included naming Tyler O'Conner starting quarterback over Brian Lewerke before the season started even though he performed better.

i'm sure sparty will love this

Yup. Michigan closed out the recruiting trail by shutting out MSU out of its own state.

That was some crappy play calling most of the game on first down. Speight was lost for 3 quarters. The O-line is a disaster. Should have won this game handily, but lost by 1. It sucks. Next year will be interesting. A ton of talent, but no experience. Hopefully Harbaugh can do his thing and get them in shape.

I only watched the first half, but UM seemed a bit disjointed. I'm sure not having Peppers hurt, but hey, they fought back, and almost won it. That said, dropping 3 of the last 4, no matter how close the scores were, hurts, and they're losing a lot of players this year. 2017 will be a telling season for them and Harbaugh.

OSU-Clemson tonight should be a good game. A solid Buckeye win would not only help rep the B1G, but chart the course for OSU for the next few years. Clemson looks very tough, but certainly beatable, which is more than I can say about "Bama.

Go Bucks!
