I'm saying it's poor coaching to have 'gunners' on the outside running down the field instead of blocking. THAT is coaching. As for return yardage, that absolutely had a lot to do with the game. It almost won you the game. Of course it DID cost you the game. The player just not dropping on the ball is coaching. Who's the coach?
Harbaugh bitched about the refs. Lewis should have been called for three pass interference calls against Burbridge.
The game was lost because of two things, coaching and the punter. The most important was coaching! They were in a spread punt coverage and should have been in max protect. Two the punter should have just ran it or dove on the ground (which is also coaching). I was a high school punter and I did this every time something got botched with the snap! However, I was a punter much longer than the Michigan punter has been (middle school and all four years of high school) so this was taught to me at a very young age.
