Official College Football 2015 Thread!

I never had a problem with Lloyd's offense. It was his defense that I always complained about. Perhaps you're thinking of someone else.

A couple of nice articles in the Free Press about MSU recruiting. This IS the golden age. Players that fit the Dantonio mold. I'm not worried about Harbaugh. He'll get his share, but so will MSU. All the current recruits only remember the 11-2 seasons, not the John L Smith years. Conversely they
remember UM as a mediorce team. Keep building Jimmy!

The coaches have been ranked by the national media...

TOP 5 COACHES - 2015

1) Urban Meyer - Ohio State
2) Nick Saban - Alabama
3) MARK DANTONIO - Michigan State
4) Gary Patterson - TCU
5) Art Briles - Baylor

They also just ranked coaches according to their position on the hot seat. Urban was last, Dantonio was 123, Harbaugh was 83, and Saban was 15. I'm not putting any stock into any rankings of coaches at the moment.

No. Harbaugh will get his full contract. Not that I'm worried about going 6-6 or 5-7. This year I think is an 8 or 9 win season and upward from there. He has a good foundation to build on. He also doesn't have Dave Brandon to contend with.

I agree.....UM will be back in full force within the next year or too, if not sooner. A winning attitude goes a long way, and the Messiah def. has that...(As distasteful as it is for me to say that....;))

I wouldn't be surprised if UM upsets MSU or OSU this year either. The big question will be the QB and receivers. Their defense should as good or better than last year.

No QB, no offensive live, no defensive line...I think 6-6 is the best UM can hope for. And he better start recruiting somebody...

By the way, has anyone noticed that the last guy to leave on his terms was Lloyd Carr. RichRod got two recruiting classes and Hoke got three (and won with RichRods boys...).

no offensive line? They have 4 of 5 returning starters. No defensive line? They have all juniors or seniors and one sophomore with all having decent playing time or returning starter. Add to it Peppers is coming back and the incoming talent from transfers and we should be an 8 or 9 win team. The only real question is the QB and receivers. Because of Hoke's bad coaching and the talent that left there's some serious questions there. They could be the best group in the NCAA or the worst.

More proof of you're lack of understanding of the current roster at Michigan.

Paywalled, but essentially it says the reason UM gets 10 wins this season is their defense will be as good or better than last year. Their offense has proven potential to be very good. (Stats comparison based). Their recruiting is where it needs to be for 10 wins, and finally HARBAUGH!

If UM wins 9 games this year, I'll send you a $25 gift card for the restaurant of your choice. I'm not even asking for a wager.
UM will be lucky to be 1-3 after the first 4 games this year. They are not beating Ohio State or Michigan State. They are not
beating Minnesota or Utah. Penn State and BYU are toss ups. Didn't they say Michigan was going to win the NC a year or two
ago?

If UM gets to 9, I'll send him his gift card. It's a straight offer. Not even a bet...

Off course I won't have to worry about it...

With MSU being at 17 commitments after tomorrow, does anyone have an idea how many they can recruit? 20? There hasn't been a lot, if any, transfers. I know they were looking at one JACO transfer and one of last years recruits is going on a Mormon mission. Does he still count before he actually enrolls? I know the limit is 85 total and is supposed to be 25 in a single year. I just don't know how many scholarships they have open.
