Official College Football 2015 Thread!

Special treatment like self reporting a violation like say, having Tim Tebow talk to a recruit and then saying it was a reflexive action?

Or self reporting 22 violations and claiming that 10 of them need no interaction from the NCAA?

Or self reporting 46 violations and explaining it away by saying "On one hand, anything having to do with violations won't help Ohio State's perception, while on the other hand, a lot of secondary violations can be viewed as a sign of a strong compliance department."

Well, maybe if we say he was out of coaching for a bit, and just misinterpreted the rules, we'll all feel warm and fuzzy......Hey, it works for the Messiah...:dunno:

It's a more believable excuse than "It was just reflexive" or "Don't worry about these", or "This just shows how good our compliance office is"!

Oh yeah, it's getting real

If you thought Jim Harbaugh's satellite camp ambitions were lofty …

… Michigan on Wednesday released information on a unique quarterback camp next month. It's being called “Ann Arbor's Aerial Assault,” and will be capped at 300 registrants.

There should be no problem filling that number. The instructors include Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler, former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson and No. 1 draft choice Jameis Winston, along with quarterback guru George Whitfield.

A formal media release with more information is expected next week. The camp will be June 20 at Michigan.

“I don't' think it's ever been done before,” said a person close to the process at Michigan. “I don't know anywhere people would go to. I think it would be an awesome opportunity.”

The camp is at least good recruiting news for Harbaugh who, along with quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch, cashed in on their myriad quarterback contacts to assemble the instructors. Both are hurrying to stock the Michigan pipeline with quarterbacks. As it stands, by the beginning of the 2016 season – barring any changes – Michigan should have at least five scholarship quarterbacks.

“That should get the pipeline back,” that same person said of the camp. “No one's ever had the ties to get the guys [we have].”

Not bad when you have this year's No. 1 draft choice (Winston) and a former Super Bowl quarterback (Kaepernick).

Six former Michigan quarterbacks will appear at the camp including Robinson, Elvis Grbac and John Navarre. Also expected to appear are recent Rams' draftee Sean Mannion and retired former first-round pick of the Ravens Kyle Boller.

Harbaugh has caused a stir in the offseason with his participation in satellite camps deep in SEC territory.

I wonder if John Navarre will talk about being mobile and how to throw into your lineman's asses.

Oh, it's Mr Negative again...

Maybe he will talk about still holding the Michigan records for completions in a season, passing yards in a season, touchdowns in a game, going to Michigan's first Rose Bowl since '97 or being the only Michigan QB to beat Ohio State over a 10 year span?

Since you brought it up...

Navarre also has 3 out of the top 5 yearly records for attempts, but doesn't place in the top 10 for his completions percentage (Michigan's record book only tracks top 10, so he could be 11 or he could be 600. His efficiency rating also didn't place in the top 10. You did forget to mention that his record for TD in a game is tied with 20 other QB's. You also didn't mention that he's in the record book for interceptions. He's in 3rd place all time for a single season (5th considering there's a 3 way tie for second) and in 8th for his career.

The "Only Michigan QB to beat OSU over a 10 year span" doesn't quite make sense. Unless you're doing what you always blame Sparty for doing and selectively choosing your stats. In the last 10 years, Denard is the only QB to lead UM to a victory over OSU. You'd have to go to the second QB to win vs OSU in the last 12.

But none of that matters as it's just apparent that you have no sense of irony and humor.

I don't understand... How could he have all of those attempts while playing for Lloyd, whom you have always accused of being permanently stuck in the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" mentality?
