No turning back now.......

Bad ass. Not sure how you put so much time into these cars and then sell them right away. I wouldn't be able to do it.
 
Quick question to a fellow garage painter, How much of an issue do you have with dirt in the paint? What do you do to combat it other than the typical wet the floor down and such?

I don't get a clean job like in a booth but I wouldn't say the dirt is bad, probably 5-10 dirt nibs on a horizontal panel, most of the vert. panels stay clean.


I usually blow out the garage real good,lights,compressor etc then wet the floor, what are you wearing while you spray? Do you wipe down your hose?

Yes, I definitly always make sure to wipe down the hose, Do all the same when Im done with bodywork and I'm getting my booth area ready to spray I will sweep the floor out, spray it down and squegee it out, brush the walls down blow off all the lights and everything same as you do it sounds. Wet the floor back down for paint. Usually I wear just whatever I have on to paint I just picked up a couple of paint suits to start wearing tho. I'd say I average around 5-10 per panel like you said just enough to still bug me. I'm always trying to find a way to get it to turn out just a little cleaner.

Yeah, It makes for alot of cleaning. But right now im pretty much stuck doing it in my "booth" untill I get my garage done. Ive got it sealed up pretty tight esp since its in my dads garage and just about every night that im out there doing body work he is in the other half of the garage doing his detailing those two things usually don't go so hand in hand haha
 
I always seem to over engineer things. After seeing the work that smooth can perform in his garage with such a simple setup. I'm done over thinking things.

LOL, it's all about how clean the vehicle is, blow out every knook and cranny the best you can I typically wash the car with a hose and a rag the best I can 24hrs before spraying
 
I've sprayed in some shit hole spray booths in my time, just have to find out were the air flow is best and find your route around the car
