No talk of the 2015 Mustang on Motown Mustang?

I wonder if you can order it with a live axle option? Or maybe they intend the IRS for European market only?

I think they will have to do IRS for the US market too. I hope they still have the live axle option, maybe it will be part of the "drag pack" option?

OR hopefully a live axle swap isnt too difficult or a company come out with one right away.

However, I like that rendering. I understand why some ppl dont enjoy it but I think its a nice change (if the 2015 is close to that) Thats a mean looking front end.

As for the comparison of the new vette to the Mustang... apples to oranges man. They arent even in the same category and doubt they ever will be. If the new stang cost as much as the vette then yes there would need to be some serious changes in marketing and performance.

Apples and oranges maybe, but on the fruit stand of life they Are both choices. With the base Stingray cheaper than the top end Mustang there is an overlap starting. The pony cars ain't so cheap anymore. The Vette is a bargain I think and is more of an option to the "aging Mustang guy" than a 95k Viper. Believe me, I never subscribed to the previous Mustang/Corvette comparison until now.

IRS is standard, it's off the same basic platform as the 197 so you can swap a straight axle in without to many issues I'm guessing.

"Drag Pack" option, you picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue! :D

I've seen enough details to make the following observations:
The top-of-the-line updated "5.?" has pretty much every racer trick in the book.
The standard 5.0 improvements make a good engine better.
Even the "other" engine options are cool. Anyone with a '13 V6 with handling pack can tell you what fun they are to drive.
The handling is better than ever.
The interior and exterior meet the expectations of what '09 and up Mustang owners want and expect.
As usual, the renderings don't do any justice to walking around one.
I still can't justify one.

So much wrong here it's hysterical. I was the head of the Mustang program at Roush 9 and have seen and driven these cars. I can't say much because I really like my job, but you will be happy with the product.

Why are people comparing the Mustang and the Vette? They've never been competing cars. The Vette isn't a pony car as the 'Stang is. Let's talk Camaro. The '15 GT will crush the SS.

Who was the one who leaked pictures on the hoist?

Yes, 12:01 December 5. Can't wait to find out. I've been eyeballing the Stingray big time!

From the Ford site, " On Dec. 5, the all-new Ford Mustang will make its debut in six cities on four continents. The reveal events will take place in Dearborn, Mich.; New York; Los Angeles; Barcelona; Shanghai and Sydney."

I can only speak for myself. The Mustang is hands down the king of the pony/muscle cars but the Stingray is so good for so cheap (in the "sports car" segment) that even with the price gap is IS a viable choice. The retro look of the current Mustang (2005-2014) initially brought in older buyers who could have spent upstream but didn't. With a new "global" design I'm thinking the Mustang will have to rely on performance and price. The Stingray as of now probably gives the best bang for the buck.

I will be watching the computer at 12:01 am December 5 with great hopes!

You can sleep in as it's not going to be done at midnight.

Read below from AutoBlog and the supposed Ford press release. 12:01 am EST. Did they get it wrong?

Hello,

After weeks (and months... maybe even years) of speculation about the 2015 Mustang, we finally have some information to share with you!

The all-new 2015 Mustang will be revealed at 12:01am on December 5, 2013. The debut of the Mustang will take place simultaneously in six cities on four continents: Dearborn, MI; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Barcelona, Spain, Shanghai, China; and Sydney, Australia.

Leading up to the reveal of the Mustang, Ford has teamed up with Facebook and Instagram for a 15-day countdown to the launch of the new car. During this countdown, fans will be encouraged to share their Mustang stories on social media. There will also be a series of fifteen Instagram videos released leading up to the reveal, one per day. Please see the attached release for more information.

I'm not sure then. I'll be at the reveal in Dearborn. If they're going to do the reveal in 6 places at once, it won't be at 12:01am EST as my ticket says it's after that.
