nitrous for LT1

I want to buy nitrous for my 95 Corvette with an LT1. What kit should I get? Plate system that mounts behind the TB or the kind with the fogger nossel before the TB? Who has the best price? Also Im only going to do a 75 to 100 shot.
 
I always thought NX had a good kit. I like wet kits better but some prefer dry for their own personal reasons. You should research into it though cause your going to need more things than what most kits will suply you with.
 
I used the nos 5176 dry kit on my stock 95 impala for 2 summers and never hurt it. I gained 1 second in the 1/4 with the 125 jets. Yes i had a blast and i was hooked. Then in biult a 396ci lt1 and bought the nx maf system witch i like better only because its safer. This pic is right after i installed the 2nd stage and still messy. Oh and it might be for sale real soon. I also might be selling my complete top end
afr 220 heads with t&d shaft mount rockers lt4 intake with 42lb injectors mono blade etc etc.

I also have used the NX MAF kit. It worked very good once the breathing fire was figured out.
 
I plan on going with a wet kit. I want to install a 1gal fuel cell for the nitrous system so I can run racing fuel.

Not sure on what all is done to your engine, but for a bolt-on or mildly modded car that is overkill. You can get away with 150 and even a little more on pump gas.

Wet or dry is your preference. Both can have thier problems but I imo dry is safer. As long as you buy new solenoids or at least good quality used ones (you can always rebuild them) you'll be okay.

For a 75-125 a single nossle wet kit, or a NOS LT1 dry kit should do just fine.

Its a new 4 bolt stock short block every thing else is aftermarket. I was not real sure what a stock lower end can take.

Up to 125-150 no problem. With a good fuel pump I you'll probably be just fine with a standard off the shelf wet or dry kit to 125-150hp.

Why do you say the MAF kit is safer???
I run a dual nozzle NX kit myself.

He has a Dana36 rear end. I am paranoid about that thing breaking as it is right now.
 
everything ive researched for the kit i got for my 89 vette.... said that the Plate kit was the best bet for the C4 vettes.... i got a NOS kit right now that im going to install during the winter.... http://www.holley.com/05153NOS.asp thats the kit i have but i have jets up to 200Hp ... those require an extra fuel line and some other stuff tho for the 200 shot.... but id go go with the kit they have for the LT specific.... its really nice
 
The big thing to remember with the MAF kit and a LT1 is the TB. IF you use it with a stock TB least have a airfoil to help guide the fuel around the dead zone between the blades. Or you can run a Mono-blade TB, AZ marine had them on sale right now for under $500.

For plate systems I liked the Nitrous Works system better the NOS's its $100+ cheaper for the same stuff - the extra fuel pump. You really should have a upgraded fuel pump anyway.

Thanks for the info. I do have a BBK 58mm TB on it now.

If you are going to the MAF system there is a huge learning curve on a LT
If you need some tips let me know

If you really want to CLEAN up you need one of my air filters under that filter cover. I have them in stock for $42.00
