NHRA Accident

I don't know what to say. It was hard to watch that vid, and even harder to swallow its truth...

Fairwell.

Go with God my friend...

I am suprised it is part of the espn show this morning. A lot of times when death is involved they stop showing the clips out of respect.

Wow, that's terrible...I saw him quite a bit when I used to work for his dad at AIA and Kalitta...too bad

I heard of an accident but didn't know it was this bad. :( I wish the best for his family. This stuff tears my heart.

Well its just insane that there would be anything at the end of the track even after a half mile that could stop a car literally dead in its tracks like that.

From my understanding there is a catch net past the sand trap, Scott's car hit the pole that supported that net. It was thought to be out of the way and very unlikely to be hit by a car.

Godspeed

Very sad. For what it's worth he probably died instantly, if not from the initial explosion then from a broken neck or severe brain trauma when the car was halted.

He left a wife and two kids. :(

Very Very sad. I was thinking the same thing, reports are stating he died later, but it is more than likely he was taken right there on the track. What a freak and tragic accident :(

I just heard a rumor from someone that was there. That he was beheaded.
That would explain no response after the explosion.

.....

thats the dumbest rumor ive ever heard.......

after the explosion he could of been knocked out from the concussion of the motor blowing up wich is more likley than being beheaded....
