Hey Jeff what did that Vega run? He set me out 5 and the leave once. I beat him by maybe one at the end. My junk was only running low 12's, but it worked pretty well on the street
 
were did you race and what car were you driving?? what yr did you race?? it had three engines in it from 96-99. the first engine was a mild 350 with 100shot that ran 11.3-4s on the 100shot. the 2nd engine was a rebuild with port work and a small roller cam would run 11.2-4 on engine. never did spray it with that engine because it over heated bad at the woodward cruise. the 3rd engine had more porting,trans,convertor,intake,headers, and a big shot that went 9.20s with about 200 shot.

Around 96. This was my ride back then. This was was taken when I had the first engine in it.

It really does suck, now you have to fist fight with someone over a race, parking spot or someone doing burnouts, donuts. It really sucks because growing up all I wanted was to have my own car to drive down there.... No sooner then I did it went to hell. :icon_frow

Shit there was one time Tim actually got me to believe that was a bad power steering pump on your car :bowrofl: "You know we might have one in the garage" I think you wound up racing a green LT1 trans am down at the car wash.


Back then Mike Wright had hair :eek5: [pre god father era :bowrofl: ]
 
ya i had det 5.0 chasing me from joy down by the park. i was racing a 69 road runner when all i seen was light everywere coming from the park. i got away but that was it for me they get the road runner and fucked it all up and he didn't see it for almost a yr. left the window down for the whole time it was setting in the yard. the only good thing out of it was i got my money.

I have a old video "Dirty Dave's" son gave to me a while back... It has a bunch of racing on Plymouth, and one good race down at the car wash, Blue hatchback mustang running a Blue Malibu... Car's moved out.
 
i remember racing kurt urban, mike moran, howdy, salami boy those were the days. moran putting the pinto on the bumper on ply/outer drive was one of the coolest pics i ever had. kurt in his chevelle that thing ran good. but if you ran 10s back then you had something know 10s are a stock zo6 vette with a little mods.

What about Dave in his '34 ford coupe, you could hear him at Warren and Telegraph :eek5: To this day I still believe that was the baddest car to ever come through Dunkin donuts parking lot :rockwoot:
 
i dynoed the yellow coupes engine at flow tech with enzo. you would be surprised at what that engine realy made and how fast it was.

I have video of him running at the brackets down at Detroit drag way... 9.18@149 I believe. Today after work I might have to bust them out.
 
that thing was a almost stock 454 with a bds blower. he rattled the valve train that we had it and dynoed it. i have a copy of the sheet don't remember the boost but it never made more then 700hp. the guys that copyed daves car that was all flat black. we did that motor to it was a stock 502 with the same blower setup and it made 770hp. the black one was faster it ran 8.70 and dave ran a best of 9.0

Last time I've seen the yellow one run was down on Telegraph a good 8-9 years ago, he raced a black Charger R/T.
 
i never seen the yellow one race anyone... i tried to get him to race and he wouldn't do it. i raced the black one twice i won one and he won one. back then when you bet someone it was a hand shake and it was over. the last time i handed someone there ass they didn't want to pay. i was cheeting wtf is cheeting when street racing. there's so much bullshit know that guys pull it just funny. i had big tires and the guy wanted three cars. i told him, he's dumb for not putting all the tire you can under the car. it's not may falt.
