newbie

dam thanks for the welcome guys. i don't have a ride anymore do to health. i'm a old street racer from the det/redford/livonia area. know i'm up north midmich area. i had a black 93lx with a sbc that went 9.0s back then. a 68 chevelle with a 632bbc that was faster but never did get it to the track. some of you may remember a purple vega wagon running around back then. know i work alittle on the brothers 70 nova that were trying to get to run on drag radials. no luck yet hope to pick up some tricks on here.
 
can't find any street racing around midmich anywere. i was over by flint and seen some pretty fast cars a couple month ago. bay city has a little but nothing like the shit we were running in det east/west side. i'm sure someone from flint and bat city will chime in and give me some info to find the big hitters around there hint hint....

I thought the guy with the purple vega killed himself?
 
ron didn't kill him self. he became a drunk and steped out on plymouth road and go hit by a car. we were very good friends and i tried everything i could to get him to stop drinking. i built the last engine that was in that car and the driver when we had a money race. did you know him ????

Wow, sorry to hear. I've talked to him a few times along with my dad, I grew up down at the Donut shop.
 
ya we were at the donut shop all the time back then, may i ask you and your dads name?? what did you guys drive back around 97-00. i had three cars two mustangs with a sbc's a red one with a black hood, a black one and a 68 chevelle.

I want to say from 96-99 my dad had a 74 Maverick(Black, pro stars SBF), 81 Monte carlo with a blower and this Big block mustang (It was primer then)

My dad alway hung out with Dino with the primer red pinto.
 
i remember the 81 monte and the pinto. i have talked with your old man a few times. do you remember the big tire orange 71 camero that a short guy drove??

Big block car? I know of one off the top of my head.... Car was orange with flames, wheelie bars, BBC... I can't think of his name.
 
i would post a pic but i have no clue how to. i'm not very computer friendly more like a window licker when it comes to this stuff lol.

Once you're all signed up you will want to 'upload' a picture. Once that picture loads it will contain three links at the bottom, you'll want to 'copy' (right click copy) the link that starts with
