Newbie, 93 LX Stroked w/Turbo

nice car.

wrap the exhaust, not the inlet pipe. your not containing the heat in the exhaust. your cooking the inlet and holding the heat in it.

The inlet side is wrapped to help keep the pipe cool from the underhood & exhaust heat exiting the air to air intercooler. Under hood gets pretty hot so trying to keep the pipe cool and the intercooled air cool in the pipe.

Nice ride. Stock Block?

Yep for now, it's been blueprinted and has a DSS Racing stud girdle but still limited to around 500hp on stock block before start pushing the limits and splitting it. Some have gone higher and some split at less, to live long and strong depends on a good/safe tune. Mine isn't fully dialed in, the car was completed then put about 300 street miles on it. In the Spring it's going to get the new turbo cam installed and dyno tuned. I've been considering going to a Boss 4 bolt main block to get more out of it. The car will handle plenty more but my weak link right now is the stock block if you call 500hp weak...lol. Would love to get a stronger block and transfer my current Cola light weight forged crank, forged pistons, forged H-beam rods and hardware over to a rock solid foundation and turn up the boost.
